We're a hiring platform, not your employer of record
You hire W-2 directly, or shifts go through a licensed partner staffing agency / EOR that handles I-9, payroll and workers' comp. No 1099 warehouse shifts in ABC-test states (CA, MA, NJ, IL).
Workers never pay
No placement, sign-up or payout fees for workers — ever. Employers pay per check-in or subscription.
Consent-first texting
We text only people who opted in, through carrier-registered (A2P 10DLC) numbers. STOP and HELP always work. Consent is never a condition of getting work.
AI that's disclosed and accountable
Candidates are told they're chatting with an AI and can ask for a human at any time. The employer makes every hiring decision. No video-interview scoring; bias audit before any NYC use (Local Law 144).
Taxes and invoices handled
Stripe invoices with sales tax calculated per state by Stripe Tax. Receipts for every check-in you're billed for.
Background checks on request
Optional checks through an FCRA-compliant screening partner, with proper disclosure and candidate authorization.

How do you know a worker really showed up?
Two signals: the worker checks in on location from their phone, and your supervisor confirms with one tap or a reply to our text. You're billed only when both match.
What if fewer than half show up?
The next shortlist for that role is free, and the agent automatically releases backups from the same wave. No-shows are never billed.
Who is the employer?
You are, when you hire directly. For shifts where you don't want to be the employer, we route them to a licensed partner staffing agency or employer of record. CrewSure itself is a technology and recruiting platform.

Can I hire someone permanently?
Yes, with no conversion fee. Good workers you rate join your private bench for repeat shifts.
